Felix Herngren has directed the film adaptation of the bestselling Swedish novel The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared written by Jonas Jonasson. The book came out in 2009 and has since then been sold in over 5,5 million copies around the world.
The famous comedian Robert Gustafsson plays the main character Allan Karlsson, who during the celebrations of his hundredth birthday escapes from his retirement home. Together with some odd characters and an elephant we get to follow Allan’s fortune and mishaps in this strange road-movie as we rediscover the 20th century through the memories of his adventurous life.
