Westerström

This Swedish/American filmmaker found his interest in the art of storytelling at an early age. Having spent much of his youth in Sweden and the U.S, Erik always had a camera close at hand documenting the world and people around him. His interest in people led him to a degree in Psychology from college in the U.S before attending film school at Kulturama.

As a director, Erik loves elevated situations and quirky dialogue. He puts emphasis on casting, finding the right actors for the roles and even encouraging them to improvise on set.

In 2022, Erik won the award ”Funniest Commercial” at Roygalan. Perhaps it was his dedication and ability to combine talent and timing that led to the prize.

In his spare time, you’ll find Erik surfing at Torö or binge watching horror films (Conjuring is his favorite!).
