Adi
& Mak Omanović

Adi and Mak Omanović are twin directors with a passion for character-driven stories rooted in classic dramaturgy and real emotions, often with a quirky comedic twist. Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, they made their first short film, Syskonkärlek, in 2000 and founded their own production company in 2007. Recent commercial work includes campaigns for Quartr, Ving, Avtalat, Zlatan Sport, and Storytel. On the scripted side, they have directed SVT’s comedy series Flykten till Östermalm, now in its third season, as well as the feature film Drama Kings, set to premiere in 2026.

Their work is shaped by creative curiosity, dual cultural perspectives, and an intuitive, almost telepathic collaboration - two brains, one vision. Holding a Master’s degree in Media Technology from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), and with no formal film school background, they move freely across formats, from commercials to feature films and sitcoms, often embracing innovative and bold technical solutions. With no one ever telling them “this or that is impossible,” they genuinely believe that anything can be achieved on screen.
