& Mak Omanović

Adi and Mak Omanović are twin directors with a passion for character-driven stories rooted in classic dramaturgy and real emotions, often with a quirky comedic twist. Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, they made their first short film, Syskonkärlek in 2000 and have been hooked on filmmaking ever since. Their work is shaped by creative curiosity, dual cultural perspectives, and an intuitive, almost telepathic collaboration.

Holding a Master’s degree in Media Technology from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), and with no formal film school background, they move freely across formats, from commercials to feature films and sitcoms, often embracing innovative and bold technical solutions to elevate their storytelling. With no one ever telling them “this or that is impossible,” they genuinely believe that anything can be achieved on screen.
